Membership Benefits

In addition to the Friends newsletter which you will receive three times a year, members can join in with:

  • Two large social events at the yard, a Spring meeting with the AGM and an Autumn Picnic. Both events include skippered sails, walks and talks for a small charge.
  • Group sailing with and without assistance: Two-day skippered sails in June and  Friends Sailing week in September, both at preferential rates.
  • Friends can also enjoy reduced rates for last minute boat hire (more details here)

Volunteering

 Friends volunteer in the running and catering for the social events which always include delicious cakes!

The yard is very grateful for practical the help of Friends with maintaining the outdoor spaces, tubs, hanging baskets etc. More schools activities are planned and these will provide opportunities for volunteer support.

For experienced and confident sailors, the yard is always looking for more volunteers to take out visitors on half day skippered sails
